This is so interesting, I’m a total newbie to tarot and there’s so much to learn but I have a question… I don’t quite understand how the numbers relate to the letters and thus how Fire becomes 16 but I’m wondering if you change the name of the element to another language it’ll probably become a different number and therefore a different card then the tower🙈 I’m from the Netherlands for instance and then we’d get a different outcome I’m guessing but this t not even be true. This is why I sometimes feel overwhelmed by all the aspects of tarot. Or is this no problem and then I’d just have to work with the card that comes up for me and see how that relates to “Vuur” which is Fire in Dutch? Thank you for all you do, I really really love your videos and your calm way of being🙏

For me this shows a man who works hard, he cleans after others, while others rest he does the job. He is reliable, he has special skills and he is needed. But he does not enjoy it any more. He still does it, because it is hard to change.

It's really interesting that you should mention Jung as I've been reading one of his books, Man and His Symbols, and it's been illuminating, very much recommends it. I'm compelled to write something because around minute 20ish, you mention that not listening to your inner self is something that could get you stuck in the wheel of fortune, it's exactly what Jung preaches - listening to your inner self.

we are so fixated and hung up with the idea of THE BRAIN as the center of it all. that no real understanding of self will be possible for most people in this society. mabey with a dumpload of drugs it would kick them out of their destructive Perspektive. or not. until some smart sounding fool comes up and grabs the collective Attention with him in a newish direction.

Go easy on Jung until you've read a bit more about him please. I recommend you start with his mother if your not already acquainted with her spiritual gifts. You're not wrong about what Jungian psychotherapy became, but that's not Jung. The Promethean Ego is the last hurdle he wouldn't allow himself to cross for the good of all. Someone has to be mad enough to go back into the cave to point the way out as Plato said. It's all an illusion that can't be explained without becoming part of the egoic illusion as we know. i think there realy is no self improvment, selfdevelopment, selfeducation ect. because theres always outside factors included. you made the videos for others to spoon up. books as well. its always others teaching or helping others. because everything influences each other.

Thank you John. I've been experimenting with different ways to use the tarot and this "trust your own self" is interesting. I'm also trying to elmiminate confirmation bias so I tried something new on a creative project I'm working on. I'm writing a book about reconnection and there are a handful of people from my hometown who I wanted to call on a trip home but I only had time for 1 or 2 on the 2 night trip. To help decide if I should call any of these people and who to call, I went through the deck face up and assigned one person to three of the cards based on the image and meaning in relation to my relationship with the person. I only assigned 3 of the cards out of entire deck to the people and I drew three random cards and, what do you know, one of them came up that I had assigned to a person. I texted him and he responded right away. The "interview" is tomorrow. The 3 card spread also seemed relevant to expectations for this meeting. A good example of "trust your own self" (and the cards of course!). Your videos are so insightful, thank you!
